Describe the two-state solution with respect to Israel and Palestine. What are the prospects for success?

Respuesta :

The two state solution relates to the deal that declares the border between the states of Israel and Palestine. The solution establishes two states for two different ethnic groups of people and the prospect of success is good as long as negotiation is done diplomatically and peacefully. Although sides differ a bit on where the borders should be, peace can be achieved if the territorial dispute ends.

The "two-state solution" is a proposal for resolving the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. Having two States for two different groups of people is the proposal. The two-state solution envisions an autonomous Palestinian state adjacent to Israel, west of the Jordan River. The plan creates two states for two separate ethnic groups, with a good chance of success if negotiations are conducted diplomatically and amicably.

The most pressing issue is determining how to separate the two countries, as the border between them is still a source of contention. Israel has not accepted the "1967 borders," according to Palestinian and Arab officials. Although the sides disagree on the location of the borders, peace can be established if the territorial dispute is resolved. This strategy is supposed to promote peace between both the Israelis and the Palestinians.

The Two-State Solution can not be the solution to the problem as long as the border issue in Jerusalem is not resolved.
