well i think that it depends on the how the family relationship is. Is it good or bad. That really determines
There are plenty of ways it can hurt or help a person's development! It's the age old "nature vs. nurture" thing, you know ? So basically if a person grows up in an abusive household, whether verbally or physically, they tend to be more scarred or damaged. Meaning they either lack self confidence or think that's HOW people are supposed to treat them which isn't the greatest mindset to have, either. A way it can end up helping is yenno if you get rewarded for good things and grow up with positive affirmations everyday - some tend to grow up more successful or having the self confidence one may be lacking in the alternative house hold. Not having a positive family relationship could honestly damage someone, especially when it's in the immediate family!
If you have any questions or comments on any of this - let me know! I hope all is well, and you pass! good luck, rockstar. (:
