Photosynthesis is a process which occurs in the cells having chloroplasts. It takes place in presence of light with the help of carbon dioxide and water. Glucose is the product and oxygen is the by-product of photosynthesis.

Whereas, cellular respiration is a process occurs in all living cells all the time. in the process glucose is oxidized in presence of oxygen to release energy and carbon dioxide.
