which shows the equation of the line containing the point (-2,6) and having a slope of 3 in slope-intercept form?

a) 3y=x+20
b) y=3x-20
c)y=3x+12
d)y= -3/2x+3

Respuesta :

Since the slope is 3, there has to be a 3x term in the equation, so the answer is either b or c. Fill in x=-2, only answer c produces y=6, so it's answer c.
