When a split-brain patient is administered the chimeric figures test, each hemisphere sees a complete, but different, face. the reason is that each hemisphere is capable of completion.

Split-brain referes to the conditon due to the surgical removal of corpus callosum. Under this condition the two hemispheres of the brain are disconnected

Completion refers to the visual ability of the brain to complete the figures when it does not have the full information. That is how reading occurs, you can read fluently trhough a text even though some words are missing some letters.
