Basically, more parties equal more division. There is more room for conflict and separation. Whereas a singular party system would mean there is little opposition and people live in harmony.

One of the limitations of a multi-party system is that it is extremely costly to operate. All the parties contending for political power must persuade the people to choose them. They must plan demonstrations, display in the media, and purchase airtime on television to intercept the focus of the voter.  Another limitation of a multi-party system is that it can direct to breakdowns in the country.
