Hi !

Why was William Caxton’s introduction of the printing press so important ?

because it meant an opportunity for education so that more people were able to read.

( the only books wrote in England were by monks because they were the only ones that could read and write therefore books would take ages to write and the spelling would differ from book to book because different people were writing them.)
