This is a problem that is much larger than the Equifax incident. There has been a large uprise in consumer data breaches and identity theft within the past decade. Identity theft causes numerous different issues for a persons finacial furture. Some of these issues are: increased intrest rates on exsiting credit cards and being denied loans or credit cards, more severley being denied the option to find housing and rent an apartment. ​
