In your own words, describe how a thunderstorm develops. Be sure to include the three stages of thunderstorm development in your response.

Respuesta :

Its produced by a cumulonimbus cloud. three stages are the cumulus stage, mature stage, and dissipating stage

Answer:

The development of thunderstorms takes place in three stages:

a) Cumulus stage: In this stage, warm and moist air elevates and condenses to produce a cumulus cloud at approximately 4.7 miles high.

b) Mature stage: The cloud develops more to turn into a cumulonimbus cloud at a height of 7.6 miles. At this stage, falling of raindrops, ice crystals, and in certain stages falling of hail also takes place. The lightning and thunder are common.

c) Final stage: The falling precipitation leads to a strong downdraft, and the dying out of the storm takes place as the supply of the water vapor gets used up.
