Income transfers from richer to poorer americans such as the war on poverty, aid to families with dependent children, and the snap program (food stamps) have
have given hundreds of thousands of dollars in grocieries and services to families that have fallen victim to poverty in todays society. These programs have insured that families that have fallen on hard times can at least have the bare essentials neccessary for survival.
