A prime minister or chief minister is a politician who serves as head of executive power in some states as a separate office of the head of state. It is usually the head of government in the parliamentary system. In other systems, such as semi-presidential, the prime minister is the official in charge of Public Administration. Often, a prime minister exercises his functions with a president or a monarch who serves as head of state. The prime minister is normally the leader of the political party that has the majority in parliament.
