Newtons second law of motion: "The acceleration of an object as produced by a net force is directly proportional to the magnitude of the net force, in the same direction as the net force, and inversely proportional to the mass of the object."

kinetic energy is energy that an object posses while in motion and to get that it must have potential energy.

The second law of motion is: "Force equals mass times acceleration". Newton’s first law says that a net external force results in a change in motion; thus, we see that a net external force causes acceleration, which is "the rate of change of velocity per unit of time". In physics, the kinetic energy of an object is the energy that it possesses due to its motion and it is defined as the work needed to accelerate a body of a given mass from rest to its stated velocity. So Kinetic energy is somewhat related to acceleration which is used in Newton's second law of motion.
