Parliament, Federalism, and Compromise. The Parliamentary government is important to American citizens today because it is the way that Americans citizens are represented on the government and have their interests defended so laws are passed. Federalism is important because it divided the power between a national government and a state government. The national government governs the whole country and the state governments govern each state at the same time they hold a Union that represents all of them to other countries.

The Compromise was important because they decided to have a bicameral system that would represent the people and the states. The people are represented by the House of Representatives and the States are represented by the Senate. These principles are important because they hold a series of citizens' rights such as the trial by a jury, a bill of rights that guarantee the rights of citizens and the representation by the Parliament.
