French- That is one of Canada's Official Languages, and they occupy much of the province of Quebec, which is also the largest province in size in the country. They settled in the early 17th century before the British even touched this country.

The two groups that have the largest population in Canada are the British and  the French. In fact, the two official languages in Canada are English and French,

Despite of being part of the British empire, a large part of Canada, more specifically Quebec was a very powerful French colony in North America, so that, citizens are French-speakers in that region.

What´s more, people  there are proud of their French heritage, speaking the language and passing it down through generations.
