George Washington encouraged a policy of isolationism, the policies of isolationism is that if you do something bad on your land your county officer has the right to get you as far away from that country and you can’t come back or else you will be executed and you will die and your family will miss you because you did something wrong on your country. Isolationism isolates the country from other countries.  Washington believes the US should be isolationist. However, he does see the need for trade so the US could prosper.
