The Nile helped shape ancient Egypt because rain was very little there. Without it, civilization could not have evolved. It was their main source of water, it provided them with something to drink, it was used for cooking and watering their crops. They depended a lot on the crops they grew for trading. Because paper money and coins didn’t exist they typically used goods in the bartering system. Based on the information provided in the poem it’s evident that the main way the Nile River influenced economic development in ancient Egypt was by encouraging crops to grow; “thou createst the corn, thou bringest forth the barley.” But because you need two examples another would be that it brings life to their cattle which also may have helped them economically at the time because they could be used for meat and trading as well as treating the soil. “Watering the orchards created by Ra, To cause all cattle to live”
