This revolt was a native american uprising against the Spanish due to the natives expulsion from the the present day New Mexico territory The Pueblo Revolt occurred in 1680 and is also known as Pop's Rebellion, it  was led by a man named Pop. Pop was born st San Juan Pueblo. The reason of the revolt was that when the Spanish first arrived in the Arizona and new mexico, they took over most of the Pueblo lands and forced the people to convert to Catholicism. and also made them to work  on the fields. They were also treated like slaves. New Mexico was recaptured by the Spanish in 1692.
