Things that do violate the 4th amendment:
-A police officer stops you as you walk a few minutes after an attempted robbery where the suspect fled the scene. He commands you to hand over your bag and phone while also telling you to stay still so that you are searched.

-You are sitting at home drinking coffee when a police officer knocks on your door. He attempts to come in, in order to search your house for a murder weapon.

-You are unaware that while you are sitting at a coffee shop, you are under surveillance and are being recorded by the police who think you are part of some illegal activity.

Things that don't violate the 4th amendment:
-A police officer knocks on your door and asks to enter your house under the search warrant that there has been a recent discovery of illegal activity in your neighborhood.

-A police officer asks to search your phone as you have been found suspected of a robbery. He shows you the paper that shows he has the right to search you. Begrudgingly you hand over your phone.
