The reason World war 2 in a continuation of WW1 because of that when the treaty was signed after WW1 a certain person named Adolf Hitler was a solider of the German army was not happy with what the treaty did to Germany. During the Great Depression, Hitler used this to gain control of the German government. He first created the Nazi Party and said to all the Germans he would "fix up Germany" and get back to shape. He soon became the leader of German and started to invade other countries. France and the UK caught wind of this but they had a peace agreement. Hitler kept invading countries and when Hitler invaded Poland, France and the UK declared war on German. The USSR was on Germany side until Germany backstabbed the Soviet Union and and the USSR joined France and the UK's side (also known as the Allied Powers). When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, the US declared war on Japan, thus started WW2.
