Ibn Sina was the young Muslim scholar who figured out that isolating sick patients, in other words, quarantining them, could help prevent the spread of disease. He was a Persian and was born on June 1037 and died aged between 56 and 57 years. He is also considered as one of the most important writer and thinker to have influenced people during the Islamic Golden Age. One of the most famous and well known works of Ibn Sina was "The Book of Healing". He wrote about 40 books on medical sciences and about 150 books on philosophy. Many of his works has been lost.
