The answer is 8.5. The graduated cylinder;s tick mark is between 8mL and 9mL so it can be either  8.7mL or 8.5mL. But from the picture that I have searched which has the same question as yours, it is in the middle of 8 and 9mL. So this means it is 8.5mL.
