Use FOIL
10x² - 20x - 25x + 50

10x²  - 45x + 50
 

5( 2x² - 9x + 10)

     2x           -5 
      x             -2

5(2x - 5)(x -2)

make each equal to 0
2x - 5 = 0
x - 2 = 0

2x - 5 = 0                        x - 2 = 0
2x - 5 (+5) = 0                x - 2 (+2) = 0 (+2)
2x = 5                             x  = 2
x = 5/2

x = 5/2 , 2
