The correct answer is the second statement. In the "The Interlopers" by Saki (Hector Hugh Munro) the title illustrate the theme of the story by showing that hunters, Georg and Ulrich, upset the balance of nature by interloping. The word “interloper” itself suggests that someone is intruding in the field without the permission. Throughout the story, the title can be understood as an implication that George is an intruder to Ulrich’s land, as he has legally obtained it, and that Ulrich is the intruder on George’s land, as the forest belonged to his family first. But at the end, it is clear that title implies that humans are intruders on natures land, for wolves hear George’s and Ulrich’s cries and not their friends. In the end conflict man verses man becomes conflict man verses nature.
