Venezuela has three geographical regions: Andean Coast, the Plains, and Guyana. Most of the population is located in the former, with all the major and most populated cities located there. This region is located at the top north of the country and includes the Maracaibo lake area. And in that particular region, the central area is where three of the major cities of the country are located: Valencia, Maracay, and Caracas. Valencia and Maracay are industrial hubs whereas Caracas is the capital of the state with the primary economic and bureaucratic activities occurring there.
I am not completely sure, but it should be coast and highlands. I would research just to make sure, though.
