A spinner is to be used during a probability experiment. The spinner is separated into all congruent sections of which 8 sections are orange, 4 sections are yellow, and 2 sections are green. What is the probability written in simplest form that the spinner will NOT stop on a green section during the first spin?

Not green...means orange or yellow

Total sections=8+4+2=14, orange and yellow sections=8+4=12

P(y or o)=12/14

P=6/7  (about 85.7%)
