You've been asked to give a speech to your class. You're concerned that if you refuse the opportunity, you may feel disappointed in yourself. However, you're also afraid that you'll be too nervous to speak in front of a large group. What are the positive and negative consequences of each choice? What decisions would you make? How could you manage the stress associated with whichever decision you made?

Answer:

You'll defintely be disappointed in yourself because this would've been a chance to come out of your shell and show people your knowledge and express yourself. Being nervous is apart of everyhting, some of the greatest athletes are nervous before games but once you get stareted you're good. If you practice the speech you'll find in comfort in knowing you won't mess up any words. Gather confidence from that and the fact that you were asked. Negative consequences from not presenting may be a bad grade or the teacher will never bring any other oppurtunities to you again. Iaf you present and do your best, the teacher will be proud and may recommend you for something down the line. Manage the stress by not thinking about who you're presenting in front of, just practice your speech and everything will be okay.
