   Activities

  • Produces 32 ATP molecules  ------> Electron Transport chain
  • Creates four ATP molecules but gains overall only two ----> Glycolysis
  • Gives off carbon dioxide ----- > citric acid cycle
  • Gives off water  --------- > Electron transport chain
  • Produces two ATP molecules ----- > citric acid cycle

The electron transport chain is a series of electron transporters that are embedded in the  mitochondrial membrane which transports electrons from  NADH to the oxygen ( molecular ).

Glycolysis is a cytoplasmic process whereby glucose is broken down into a pair(2) of three-carbon compounds and energy is also generated in the process. and the final product of glycolysis is pyruvate in an aerobic respiration.

Hence we can conclude that the stages in which each activity listed is  occurs is as listed above.
