Most of the time is because people believe their religion is the “true” religion or the correct one to follow. This leads to immoral actions like forcing your religion upon others who don’t believe in the same beliefs as you. This can also spark other immoral actions that can harm others because you believe that they have lost the touch between your religion and that they must be punished for not agreeing or having the same beliefs as you.

People don't practice what they are being taught.

Religion is a belief in the worship of a God or god. Most or all religion teach their people to do the right things at all times. There isn't a religion that teaches his or her people to disobey the law, but the problem most times is that the person's who attend this religion don't keep to what they are taught, which is why despite the number of religions in the world we still have many people who don't keep the law.

What needs to be done is no longer in the hand of the religions but rather the hands of those who attend. If all who attend their various religions keep to what is taught the society would experience the following;

-> Laws would be kept

-> Crime and lobbying would reduce

-> People would respect each other independent of their religious background.

Teachings and practicing what is taught cannot be separated from each other if we want a sane community.
