The representatives of the third estate gathered at a tennis court in June, 1789. They vowed to keep meeting until the kingdom was established. This event became known as the Tennis Court Oath

In October, also 1789, the event known as Women's March took place in Versailles. It was a very significant act of the French Revolution. The women fiercely protested the scarcity of food and the high prices.

King Louis was arrested in 1792 and executed by guillotine in 1793 at the Place de la Révolution.  Not much longer after, his wife was also executed.
